Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the True Grind website and related services operated under the True Grind brand.

The service is currently provided by Mouchsiadis Solutions based in Germany, through the canonical True Grind domain grindlike.pro. The former true-grind-cs2.online hostnames are retained as redirects to the canonical domain.

When you use the service, True Grind may collect account, gameplay, and technical information, including:

• Steam sign-in details such as SteamID, display name, avatar images, and public profile URL.
• FACEIT account details if you choose to connect FACEIT, such as subject ID, nickname, avatar, email, connection time, and resolved player ID.
• Match records you add manually, Steam share codes you sync, parsed match statistics, and related account settings.
• Historical community profile reports submitted while that feature was available, including reason, optional notes, timestamps, and related profile identifiers.
• Demo files and parsed replay data generated when you use the analysis features. Demo parsing now runs on the VPS, and raw uploads may be stored temporarily so the parser can generate summary artifacts and replay chunks before cleanup.
• Versioned match-performance measurements derived from parsed demos, such as shot, movement, spray, utility, and opening-duel outcomes. Player identifiers used for aggregate calibration are stored as keyed pseudonymous hashes rather than Steam IDs.
• Essential session cookies and operational security records. Optional PostHog product analytics, including page views and feature interactions, are collected only after you allow them.

True Grind uses collected information to:

• authenticate users and maintain secure sessions;
• display profiles, match history, replay data, and analytics;
• operate Steam sync, FACEIT linking, and demo analysis flows;
• generate suspicious-play heuristic summaries, profile trends, and parsed-match reputation signals for signed-in product review features;
• debug, maintain, secure, and improve the service; and
• measure product usage through privacy-conscious analytics and hosting instrumentation, including attribution between public and authenticated product routes.

By signing in, uploading demos, or connecting external accounts, you direct True Grind to process the information required to provide those features.

Where a feature is optional, such as FACEIT linking, the related processing happens only when you choose to use it.

True Grind does not sell personal information. Information may be shared only as needed with service providers and external platforms that support the product, including hosting, analytics, database, Steam, and FACEIT services. This currently includes PostHog as an analytics processor when you opt in, Stripe for billing, AWS for private saved replays, and Allstar when you request coaching videos.

Public profile information and statistics that you choose to expose through product features may be visible to other users of the site.

Signed-in users may also see suspicious-play summaries, parsed-match reputation signals and related review data on profiles or parsed matches. These are presented as heuristics or community input, not as proof or ban decisions.

The service uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect authenticated areas of the site.

Optional product analytics is off until you choose Allow analytics. This choice covers browser and account-linked server events. Use Analytics preferences at the bottom of any page to withdraw at any time. Withdrawal stops future optional collection; it does not remove records already collected. Contact us to request deletion.

With consent, PostHog stores a browser identifier and associates signed-in product events with your SteamID. Event properties are restricted; provider credentials, signed URLs, raw errors, and user-authored notes are excluded. Session replay is disabled. Essential authentication, billing, abuse prevention, and operational records remain separate from optional product analytics.

Service providers that support the product may process information outside your home country. Depending on the selected hosting or analytics configuration, this can include processing in the United States or the European Union.

The current default browser analytics configuration points to a PostHog cloud endpoint in the United States unless the operator configures a different PostHog host for the deployment.

Account data, synced match history, and related settings are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Raw demos and unsaved local replay files normally expire 24 hours after parsing. A video request already in progress can protect its required files for a bounded additional period, at most another 24 hours. Existing unsaved replays receive a 24-hour transition when this policy is enabled. Cleanup preserves match history, notes, and video metadata. Rendered videos retain their existing provider access independently of local replay expiry. Paid saved replays follow the subscription and cloud-storage retention terms.

Historical community profile reports, suspicious-play summaries, and related derived match-review data may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to investigate misuse and maintain product integrity. New direct profile reports are no longer accepted.

Pseudonymous performance samples used to calibrate aggregate benchmarks are tied to the replay artifact that produced them and are removed when that artifact is deleted. Composite ratings are not published until their methodology has enough eligible samples.

Analytics identifiers stored in browser cookies or local storage may remain until they expire or are deleted through browser controls. Analytics event data may be retained by True Grind and its analytics providers for as long as reasonably necessary for product, security, and operational analysis.

Account deletion removes product data and disconnects provider credentials. Shared replay content owned by other members is reviewed separately. Billing records are retained only for applicable obligations: invoices generally eight years from the end of their issue year under §14b UStG. Other tax records have category-specific six-, eight-, or ten-year periods under §147 AO, with extensions where a tax proceeding or legal hold requires it. Product deletion does not automatically purge financial records.

If you want your account data removed, contact the operator using the contact information below.

You can choose not to use optional features.

You can disconnect FACEIT from your account at any time from the account settings page. You can also stop using the service and request deletion of stored account data.

If you submit a community profile report, you can later withdraw it from the relevant profile page, subject to product guardrails such as duplicate suppression and edit cooldowns.

You can also manage or clear cookies and local browser storage through your browser settings, though doing so may reset analytics identifiers, sign-in state, or related preferences.

True Grind uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect account and service data.

No system is perfectly secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

The service is not directed to children under 13, and it should not be used by anyone who is not legally permitted to use Steam, FACEIT, or comparable gaming services.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When that happens, the effective date on this page will be updated.
